There are almost 3,000 snake species around the world. They have been present form the age of dinosaurs and over the period of time have adopted various changes and hence have evolved. Snakes come in a vast variety of sizes, colors, and patterns. Out of the huge number of snakes present, 600 species are venomous. Many people find snakes very fascinating due to the fact that they highlight the diversity of beauty. The most extraordinary and amazing snake species found around the world are mentioned below.

Emerald Tree Boa

Emerald Tree Boa is a colorful and non-venomous snake that is found in the South American rainforests. They can grow up to the length of 6 feet or 1.8m. a very interesting feature of this snake is that they have highly developed and large front teeth than those of any other non-venomous snake.

Sri Lankan Pit Viper

Sri Lankan Pit Viper is a very common sight in Sri Lanka. This beautiful species of snake can be found on almost all trees. Though they are very beautiful to see but are very dangerous and hence must only be admired from afar. They are packed with deadly venom which can cause blisters and tissue necrosis.

Reticulated Python

Reticulated Python is the world’s longest snake as well as the longest reptile present on Earth. They are found abundantly in South Asia and grow as long as 22.8 feet in length. The most dangerous yet interesting thing about them is that they are powerful enough to kill and ingest humans.

Asian Vine Snake

Asian Vine snake has an amazing and extraordinary geometric pattern. It is highlighted when the snake feels threatened. It responds by expanding its body and reveals a black and white pattern between the green scales. This makes it one of the most beautiful snakes present. When relaxed and safe, the snake looks very slender and all green.

Black Mamba

The Black Mamba is titled as the fastest land snake on Earth. It has the ability to reach 12 miles per hour which is 20 kph. This species is found in sub-Saharan Africa. It has unpredictable aggression and is deadly venomous which makes it the most feared snake present in Africa.

Inland Taipan

Inland Taipan is also known as Western Taipan is the most venomous snake around the world. It has the ability to inject as much as 110mg of deadly and highly toxic venom into a person in just a single bite. As astonishing as the amount, it is able to kill as many as 183 humans at a time.

Eyelash Viper

Eyelash Viper is both a highly venomous and a highly beautiful snake species. It is named as Eyelash Viper due to the scales that stand out above its eyes. They have a rough and scaly body which helps to protect them against any external harm or danger.

Banded Sea Krait

Snakes are not just present on land but can be found in water as well. The Banded Sea Krait is the most beautiful snake that inhibits the Indo-Pacific Ocean. They are powerful, fast-acting, and very poisonous. Watching this snake glide through the water is a very amazing and beautiful sight.
